It was a great summer.

We welcomed our baby girl. Spent a few evenings at the ball fields. Played outside in the water until the kids were tired. Watched sunsets. Spent some much needed time with no plans.

One of the goals I set for myself this year was to slow down. To enjoy the moments that matter most and really be present for them.

Lately, life has felt rushed. Time has been moving faster. There’s always somewhere to be, something to get done, a text to answer, a list to check off, a practice to get to. And sometimes, in all that rushing, I think we miss the life that’s happening right in front of us.

The little moments. The long evenings. The messy days. The sunsets. The laughter. The people sitting beside us through it all. The moments we’ll wish we could go back to someday.

Maybe the point isn’t to fit more into our days, but to be more present for the days we’re given. I’m looking forward to our ‘slowed down’ fall. 🍂
