POWELL AUCTION & REALTY, LLC ANNOUNCES HOPPER AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF REAL ESTATE
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Powell Auction & Realty, LLC has named Phillip Hopper as Executive Vice President of Real Estate.
Founded in 1972, Powell Auction has grown to be one of the top real estate and asset auction companies in the industry, conducting well over 200 auctions annually in the areas of real estate, automobiles, equipment, coins, and antiques. The company is the largest auction company in the region and offers a comprehensive suite of services to clients including auctions and traditional property listings.
“When we first met Phillip a decade ago, we knew right away that he was someone we wanted on the team,” said Kenny Phillips, President of Powell Auction & Realty. “We were fortunate to have him work with us for many years and bringing him back in this new iteration is great for our clients, customers, and the company. His integrity is in keeping with the brand my dad built fifty years ago, positioning us well for the future and ensuring our continued growth and sustainability for years to come.”
In this new role, Hopper will lead the full spectrum of the company’s work in real estate including commercial and residential properties and land, utilizing both traditional listings and auction services.
Hopper earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and holds Tennessee licenses as a real estate agent and auctioneer. He is a native Knoxvillian and holds leadership roles with the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors and the Tennessee Association of Realtors. He also serves on the board of Safe Families for Children, on the golf committee for Emerald Youth Foundation, the board of the Alice Bell – Springhill Aquatic Club, and with CrossPoint Church.
He and his wife, Hannah, reside in Knoxville and have one son. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors and buying, selling, and dabbling with classic cars.
