🏡 FUN FACT FRIDAY: WEST KNOXVILLE HAS A HOUSE THAT REFUSES TO MOVE! 😂

Okay, West Haven and West Knoxville friends… have you ever driven down Middlebrook Pike and noticed that OLD brick house sitting right in the middle of the road? 👀

Nope, that's not a typo. You're not seeing things. 😂

🏠 Meet the Knott-York House!

Built around 1845, this historic two-story brick home was originally built for Andrew Knott, who moved to Knox County from eastern Virginia.

Back then, Middlebrook Pike was an important route through the countryside, surrounded by farms and rural land. This house was part of that early Knox County landscape long before West Knoxville became the busy place we know today.

Here's where the history gets even more interesting:

❤️ The home stayed in the same family for more than 180 YEARS and passed through five generations before it was sold in March 2025!

🚗 Over time, the countryside transformed into commercial development, and Middlebrook Pike grew into the busy road we know today.

And somehow… this historic house is still standing right there in the middle of it all! Talk about refusing to be pushed around. 😂
