Bare Naked Lady. swamp sunflowers, cup plant, Agastache Acapulco Orange, catnip mint, irises, and a fireglow Japanese Maple place center stage my bottle tree made by my late friend Claudia Linse. It was her first bottle tree she welded together and gifted it to me. ❤️😌❤️

Placing cobalt blue bottles upside down on bottle trees is an old Gullah tradition of Low Country. “The bottles were hung upside down to entice the curiosity of evil spirits. Drawn by the rich, cobalt color, the spirits would enter the bottles and become trapped. The evil spirits would be destroyed when the sun rose the following morning. If a bottle hums when the wind blows, you know there’s an evil spirit trapped inside.”
