1. Declutter every room.

Buyers don’t need to see your stuff—they need to picture their stuff in the house. Less is almost always more.

2. Deep clean everything.

Windows, baseboards, bathrooms, floors, ceiling fans. A spotless home immediately feels more cared for.

3. Freshen up paint and small repairs.

Patch nail holes, touch up scuffed walls, replace burnt-out light bulbs, fix leaky faucets, tighten loose handles. Buyers notice the little things.

4. Boost your curb appeal.

Mow the lawn, trim bushes, pressure wash the driveway and porch, add fresh mulch, and put a colorful plant by the front door. First impressions matter.

5. Hire a Realtor before doing expensive renovations.

Don’t spend $20,000 updating a kitchen if the market won’t pay you back. Get advice first so you invest where it actually counts.
