Wowza Wednesday! (Before & After)

This desk was given to me by a friend, (we are calling it the flip house desk) and I knew this solid oak beauty had SO much potential! ❤️

Unfortunately, it had been painted all black—and not exactly a great paint job. There were drip marks everywhere, it was a mess. 😳

I started by stripping the top, then stained it with Jacobean and finished it with polyurethane. I originally planned to paint the base AND the drawers, but once I saw how beautiful the drawer fronts were underneath all that paint, I changed my mind!

So, I finished stripping the drawer fronts and stained them to match the top. Then I painted the base, added this gorgeous drawer liner, and finished it all off with these super cute pulls. 🥰

Makeover Monday (Before & After)

A friend called to tell me that there was some furniture sitting out for the trash in her neighborhood. Of course I had to go check it out.
I grabbed this solid wood end table that is super heavy and heaved it into the back of my vehicle.
I stripped off the finish and sanded that baby down to the bare wood. Next, I used my tried and true sanding technique to make it super soft and smooth. I then stained it and used a glossy polyurethane for a beautiful shiny finish. I love how it turned out. Best yet, it sold within 24 hours! 👏
