Makeover Monday (Before & After)

This beautiful old chest came to me from a friend. Unfortunately, the front feet were missing several pieces and had to be replaced. Since I wasn’t able to match the original color or finish, I decided to give the entire piece a fresh new look with paint.

After painting, I distressed and waxed the finish to give it some character and charm. While I loved the overall look, the original wooden k***s just didn’t feel right. I replaced them with these beautiful silver glass k***s, and that was exactly what it needed!

The new hardware completely transformed the piece and gave it the perfect finishing touch. It turned out absolutely gorgeous!

Take another look Thursday!

This one goes back a few years, but it was such a fun project to create! My son and I built it together for a Valentine’s church event where we used it as a photo booth. After the event, I repurposed it into a charming little garden shed display for my patio. I love finding ways to give projects another purpose, and this one turned out so cute!

Makeover Monday (Before & After)

This beautiful cedar chest was in pretty rough condition, but it had so much potential! I sanded the top down to the natural cedar and sealed it with a couple of coats of polyurethane.

The bottom was painted Snow White, then distressed for character and sealed with wax for a soft, beautiful look.

The inside was scrubbed clean and treated with olive oil mixed with cedarwood oil to freshen it up. It smells amazing and looks absolutely beautiful!!

This one went to a dear friend!

Makeover Monday (Before & After)

This matching set got a full refresh and I’m so happy with how it turned out! I restored the top by sanding it all the way down to the natural wood, added a touch of walnut stain, and sealed it with polyurethane for a durable finish.

The drawers were repaired, painted white, and then lightly distressed for a vintage look. To finish it off, I added brand new handles and lined the drawers for a clean, fresh touch!
