This is why I love what I do. ❤️
A few years ago, this sweet family reached out while they were preparing to move to the area. After thinking it through, they decided renting for the first year would be the best way to get to know the area and figure out where they ultimately wanted to put down roots.
And because I’m always trying to find that balance between staying top of mind and not becoming “that agent” who won’t leave you alone 😂, I gave them the space to settle in. As time went on, I honestly figured they had probably found someone else or forgotten about me.
Then, about a year later, I got a message out of the blue: “Do you remember us?” 🥹
Of course I did.
We looked at a lot of homes together, wrote offers, and had those moments where it was disappointing when things didn’t work out. But each time, we knew if it wasn’t the right fit or if it didn’t make sense to stretch beyond what was comfortable, it wasn’t meant to be.
Those moments are never easy, but they’re also why I believe in making smart decisions and not forcing the wrong fit. The right home is worth waiting for. ❤️
This past June, I got to watch them get the keys to the perfect place for their family. After all the searching, conversations, and patience, seeing them walk into a home they loved was such a special moment.
And one of my favorite parts of the whole journey? Their son was so used to seeing me at every showing that he thought I was moving into the new house with them. 😂❤️
It’s not about a transaction. It’s about the relationships built along the way and being there when the timing is right.
