💡 It's Trivia Time! In 1911, Albert Hirshheimer made a move that changed what La Crosse Plow Co. built. What powered machine did he bring to the factory?

ANSWER: Tractors! Hirshheimer helped incorporate the Sta-Rite Engine Co. and merged it with the Happy Farmer Tractor Co., bringing engine-powered tractor manufacturing to La Crosse in 1916. This marked the end of the horse-drawn sulky plow era at the site that's now Landmark by the Rivers.

The Downtown Neighborhood Association would like to remind neighbors and residents about an upcoming Community Forum/Listening Session hosted by the City of La Crosse.

This is a great opportunity to meet with Council Member Kahlow and Mayor Washington-Spivey, share your thoughts, and discuss the issues that matter most to you and our city government. Whether you have ideas, concerns, or simply want to learn more about what's happening in our city, your voice is important.

In support of Rotary Downtown, we are collecting lithium batteries at our Moon Tune concerts. There is a drop off box located by the Interact tent. Let’s keep the batteries out of the landfill.
