Just a friendly reminder- We are starting to get into nights with freezing temperatures. You need to make sure you have gotten your house ready for the winter. Disconnect your hose from the faucet and put it away, if you have underground sprinklers make sure you turn them off and have the line blown out, make sure the crawl space vents are closed, empty out your gutters, make sure you have your furnace serviced, check the weather stripping around your doors and window to make sure there aren't any gaps and make sure your snow shovel is easily accessible.

So it's property tax time again! You probably got your property taxes in the mail over the last couple of days. If your letter is yellow, this means your lender used funds from your escrow account to pay your taxes for you. If your letter is green that means you need to pay your property taxes because they are not paid by your lender. If you got a green letter but think your lender paid them from escrow funds you should call your lender to double check before you pay.
