Top 3 Questions to Ask When Hiring a Real Estate Agent:

1. “What makes YOU different than other real estate agents?” (Not benefits of their brokerage. Not benefits of their team. What specifically makes working with THEM different!)

2. “Are you a local expert?” (IE Did they just move to the market or are they life-long residents? Are they full-time or is this their side hustle? Do they know other brokers in the area and negotiate or ‘play’ well with others? Have they sold homes in the specific market YOU live in?)

And THE most important question to ask an agent:

3. “How will you utilize social media and VIDEO to market my house?” (And ask them to get SPECIFIC! Don’t settle on 1-3 word answers like “Facebook!” Or “Posting on Instagram”!) 🙅🏻‍♀️Do they have a business/creator Instagram account where they can manage insights and capture data of potential buyers? Are they going to geotag your property in ALL posts and stories? Are they utilizing REELS to leverage the power of video and attracting potential buyers? Is their profile and bio setup to capture SEO searches in your market? Are they going to post video content to their stories, and most importantly to Google for you?! All super important in today’s market. 🙌🏻👍🏻👌🏻

Aaaand that’s a wrap, Year 1!👏🏼 It’s been just over a year since I hung my real estate license, and Dan and I have closed over $7.5 million in local homes sold!

When I started working in the real estate industry a few years ago, I never imagined I’d want to turn this into a full-time career.
