Nadine Hufnall and her husband Bill bought their first country retreat in 1995. They loved the laid-back lifestyle so much, that they moved to their country home, permanently, two years later. Nadine then decided that selling farm and ranch property would be a great way to help others enjoy the process of getting away from the fray. She has served as a director for the SCBOR® (2006-2011) in serving as vice president of the board, Nadine is also the Trepac Trustee for SCBOR. Serving as trustee enables Nadine to help Realtors and home owners realize their dreams. This native Texan lives in Weimar, and specializes in real estate located in Colorado, Lavaca and Fayette counties. She has two sons, now grown, and shares her love of the country with her husband, and their array of dogs, cats and horses.

📝Water Rights Disclosure Language Added to Real Estate Contracts

In a huge win for informed decision-making and more effective water management in Texas, real estate contracts will require disclosure of groundwater and surface water rights and provide information about regulation of water rights effective July 1, 2026.

This effort was initiated by TWA and the Texas Alliance of Groundwater Districts, using committees that drafted initial versions of the disclosure language. Thanks to all who served on those committees, and especially to Brian Sledge and Charles Porter, who worked these past few years to negotiate specific contract language and address the concerns of realtors to get this effort across the finish line.
