A good friend of mine unexpectedly lost his wife. A couple months later we were golfing together, chatting about nothing. He asked what my dinner plans were and I told him wifey wanted my homemade chili and cornbread, but I didn't feel like stopping at the store. We golfed a few more minutes when he quietly said, “Make the chili."
It took me a few minutes to realize we were no longer talking about dinner. It was about going out of your way to do something for someone you love because at any moment, they could unexpectedly be taken from you. So today I'm sharing with you that wisdom handed to me by my dear friend, that I've thought of many times since that day. Next time someone you love wants you to go for a walk or watch a football game or play a board game or just put your phone down and give them your undivided attention, just do it. “Make the chili”

Hi Everyone!
I haven’t been able to exercise for over 8 weeks, but I think I’m going to give this 5K a shot, & make it my 1st race after my accident.

I’ll probably have to walk most of it, but I’m eager & nervous to get back to my favorite sport.

I’m going to push my running friends & running club to join me, & to use our newly discounted code.

Hi Everyone❤️
Just a brief message to thank you for your prayers, social media messages, texts, letters, flowers, gifts, and calls to Bob & I.

It’s not easy for me to read or to type very much because it causes pain to my surgery area. (My muscles are still attached. Thank You, Jesus!🙏🏻). Therefore, I still have not read many of your posts & texts, but I will read every single one, I promise.

I’m doing better everyday!🙌🏻🙏🏻🎉

We found the perfect surgeon to perform my necessary upcoming surgeries.

I’m happy, I’m feeling blessed, and I thank God for guiding my fall & my future recovery.

I thank God for blessing me with the love, support, friendship, advice, PRAYERS, laughter, (I’m totally ok with the jokes- Bring It On!), from all of you.

Bob is my angel. He gets no rest, and he takes care of me around the clock. He makes sure I don’t do things that the surgeon told me I cannot do, & he’s a lil’ bossy, to be honest. 😹 We all know that I could use a lil’ bossiness in my life, especially now.😹
I overdid it this past weekend, even though I basically did nothing, 🤓, but I’m paying for it today.
Bob knew there was NO CHANCE that he could stop me from going to Orange Curtain to support my Yenster on her birthday, & at her annual event. Before I had my emergency surgery in Flagstaff, while I was compleyely blindfokded with surgical bandages taped around my head, I told the surgeon that I HAD to be at this event, & he gave me the ok, with a bunch of rules & restrictions. Yeah, Yeah… whatever it takes.
The time spent with my running family was nothing less than healing.
To laugh and to to be treated normally, was just what I needed.
Of course, I’m back in bed, wiped out today, but it was worth it!😎🤩

Getting our pups home from my incredibly helpful Mom has also been healing.❤️‍🩹

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

This is one I can honestly say I have never seen circulating so; if this touches you, you may want to forward it.

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never noticed this....

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes. Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!' Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see.. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in.

Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.

Was that important? Absolutely!

Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition.

When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it...

The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished. Now, if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table.

The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done.'

But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because........... The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!'

He is Coming Back!
