My higher education was at Wingate College in North Carolina, Lettered playing soccer for the Bulldogs. Graduated from Florida International University in Miami with a Bachelor in Business Administration Majoring in Finance, Business, and Organizational Science. I was born on June 6, 1950 in Miami Beach, Florida. I come from both sides of the world. My mother Patricia was born from Irish parents a
nd my father Samuel is a Peruvian Spanish descendant. My early schooling was done in Lima, Peru at two Catholic Schools from the Marianist Congregation. Joined Waikiki Club in 1955 where surfing was introduced to South America. Competed in the second World Surfing tournament in Peru at age 15 in 1965. This same year, 1965, won the Peruvian Juniors Polo (on horseback) Championship with team Talandracas. Joined the F.I.U. Karate Team, and now still performing Martial Arts for 45 years, keeping me healthy, young physically and in spirit. Fished commercially with Star-Kist's Tuna's pioneer Lawrence Zuanich, my stepfather, adventurous, calm, dedicated, and knowledgeable about his business. Biggest catch was 250 tons in one setting. Raised in Lima, Peru until age19. Spent 26 years in Agriculture at the San Joaquin Valley's Tulare County.
