One of the biggest summer traditions in Thurston County is almost here!

The Thurston County Fair returns July 30 – August 2 at the Thurston County Fairgrounds in Lacey. For more than 150 years, the fair has brought the community together with carnival rides, live entertainment, local exhibits, 4-H animals, food vendors, competitions, and activities for all ages.

Whether you've lived here for years or recently moved to the South Sound, it's a great opportunity to experience one of our favorite local traditions.

Our tips for making the most of your visit:
✔ Purchase tickets in advance if available.
✔ Arrive early if you plan on riding the carnival rides.
✔ Come hungry—there's no shortage of fair food favorites.
✔ Don't miss the 4-H and livestock exhibits—they're always a hit with kids.
✔ Check the entertainment schedule before you go so you don't miss your favorite events.
