October 10 marks World Mental Health Day, a time to recognize the importance of mental health, encourage open conversations, and remind ourselves that emotional well-being is just as important as physical health.

We often move through our days balancing responsibilities, supporting others, meeting expectations, and navigating challenges that may not always be visible. Behind every smile and interaction is a person with their own experiences, emotions, and struggles. Mental Health looks different for everyone. A simple check-in, a moment of patience, or a willingness to listen without judgment can make a meaningful difference in someone's day. Creating a culture of understanding begins with recognizing that we never truly know what another person may be going through. As we recognize World Mental Health Day, here are a few reminders worth carrying with us:

• You can be grateful for your life and still have difficult days.
• You can be strong and still need support.
• You can care deeply about others and still need to put yourself first sometimes.
• You never have to know exactly what someone is going through to show them kindness.

Today, take a moment to check in, not just with those around you, but with yourself as well. You never know how much a little understanding, kindness, or encouragement might mean to someone who needs it.

Resident Shirley creates beautiful works of art using a technique called paper quilling, which involves rolling, shaping, and gluing narrow strips of paper into intricate decorative designs. Today, she shared her talent with friends by teaching them how to create quilled pumpkins for handmade seasonal greeting cards. The ladies enjoyed plenty of laughs while learning a new skill and creating their own unique designs. They're already looking forward to making more paper-quilled creations in the future! 🎨🍂

Why wait until Christmas to open presents? We brought the fun of gift-giving to fall with a festive white elephant exchange! From pumpkin hand creams to umbrella hats and silly games, we enjoyed swapping (and stealing) these great gifts!

Three years ago, Revel Eagle residents started their very own Rugby Club. What started as watch parties in The Social Club grew into travel opportunities, new friendships, and a spirited connection between the residents of Revel Eagle and the local Boise United Rugby Team.

Our Executive Director, Jennifer, brought her newest favorite hobby to our residents: rock painting! What started as social time quickly turned into a deeply focused art session. Each resident created their own unique designs, some even themed for Halloween!
