Get Your Home Rainy-Season Ready
September is the perfect time to tackle a few exterior projects before our Washington rain really settles in. A little preventative maintenance can go a long way toward protecting your home from moisture and expensive repairs later.

✔ Clean gutters and downspouts and make sure water is flowing freely.

✔ Inspect your roof for damaged or missing shingles and other visible concerns.

✔ Check drainage to make sure water is directed away from your foundation.

✔ Inspect exterior caulking around windows and doors for gaps or deterioration.

✔ Check outdoor faucets and hoses and start thinking ahead to colder temperatures.

✔ Trim branches that are touching or hanging directly over your roof and gutters.

💡 Trish's Tip: Preventative maintenance may not be glamorous, but staying ahead of water intrusion is one of the best ways to protect your home's condition and long-term value.
