Spent the afternoon volunteering last week at Veterans Community Project's tiny home village in Longmont with a group organized by the Boulder Longmont Realtor Association (BOLO).
The village is 26 fully furnished homes, each under 320 square feet, built around a community center where residents work one-on-one with case managers on the path back to permanent housing. Veterans can stay up to two years while they rebuild their finances, their health, and their footing.
Standing inside one of the units, what struck me wasn't the size. It was how deliberate every choice was — private, dignified, right-sized, and built around a community instead of isolated from one.
Grateful to VCP for the work they do, and to BOLO for putting us in the room to see it firsthand.

Today marks a major milestone in Real’s 12-year journey.

Securityholders of both Real and RE/MAX Holdings approved Real's proposed acquisition of RE/MAX Holdings at their respective special meetings of securityholders held today. You can read the press release here. https://bit.ly/4zjVQI4

The transaction remains subject to the satisfaction of specified closing conditions. The parties expect the transaction to close shortly after satisfaction of all closing conditions, which is expected to take place in the next couple of weeks.

A quick reminder for the Boulder County homeowners in my circle who are 65 or older.

The Senior Homestead Property Tax Exemption late window closes August 15, and it's one of those things people qualify for and never claim. If you've owned and lived in your home since before 2016 and were born on or before January 1, 1961, it exempts half of the first $200,000 of your home's value from property tax.
