Word of caution to apartment personnel/apartment communities: I received a telephone call this morning from a resident of an apartment community that is a non member, complaining of not getting their AC repaired all weekend, and the resident has got COPD and Asthma and must have air conditioning. The management is obviously not educated, because all of us know definitely that in this situation, COPD and Asthma are disabiities; therefore, resident is a protected class and needs must be met. Please do not let this happen to you. Resident was advised to check with owner again and ask to get this repaired or changed. I don't want any of you in trouble. If you were at the meeting on Thursday, you know this. These people need to be educated. This is why the federales come and test us. Thank you.
