Hey Acadia Parish! Our Road Department has been working hard to clear ditches! We encourage you to keep calling in to report any areas that need our attention!

While clearing ditches, they’ve been finding all kinds of things—balls, buckets, trash, and other debris—clogging up the flow. When ditches get blocked, it can lead to drainage issues and even flooding.

With all the rain we’ve had, let’s all do our part! Take a quick look around your yard and pick up any loose items before they float into the ditches. A little effort goes a long way in keeping our community safe and dry.

A boil water advisory is currently in effect for water systems servicing the following schools:

🏫 Westside Elementary School
🏫 L. Leo Judice Elementary School
🏫 Scott Middle School
🏫 Acadiana High School
🏫 Judice Middle School
🏫 Charles M. Burke Elementary
🏫 Ridge Elementary School
🏫 Ossun Elementary
🏫 Milton Elementary/Middle School

LPSS has taken all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff. 🍎 Meals will be served as planned, 💧 bottled water will be available if needed, and students are encouraged to bring their own water bottles from home if possible.

📚 Classes will continue as scheduled on Monday, January 27.
