This is way late. But I definitely want to make sure it is mentioned so I can look back on FB for the memory. I had some friends (really great people too 😁) come to me asking to help sell their home and find them one. I knew selling their home would be easy but what they were wanting to buy and the logistics of making it all happen in a crazy market was going to be the tough part. So, I was a little apprehensive at first with concerns of disappointing them or upsetting them if I could not make it happen and putting a strain on the friendship. Well, in the end I decided to take on the challenge with a goal of not to disappoint. They had one particular neighborhood in mind that was at the top of their list. Of course it was a nice older neighborhood with not much turnover in the last several years. 🤦♂️😜 So, I decided to roll up the sleeves and go to work. I had some door hangers made and was determined to knock on every door to see if anyone was willing to sell their home. I told my wife of my plan. I still remember my wife’s face and her saying “You’re going to knock on peoples door and bother them?” like it was a lost cause. She set some doubt in my mind but I had already paid for these door hangers and wasn’t about to give up that easily. The day had come and I had all the confidence in the world and was all pumped up to talk to some people and find my friends a home. I pulled in the neighborhood, parked my car, got out with all my door hangers in hand, and…….. it started raining! Needless to say the confidence dwindled a bit and I second guessed what I was doing, going back to the look on my wife’s face. Then I said screw it! I’m here, let’s do this and grabbed an umbrella. First knock went well and she actually talked about selling at some point. It wasn’t until about the 10th house and I felt I found someone who was genuinely interested in what I had to say. I finished out walking the neighborhood in the rain and felt pretty good at the end. Without dragging out the story any longer I was able to secure that 10th home for my clients and put a plan together that worked for both parties involved. This was definitely one of my more rewarding transactions knowing the hard work I put in and the outcome for my friends! ❤️ Congratulations Katy, Phil, and family!🎉 I hope you all have been enjoying this summer in your new home. 🙂
