Short answer – yes, ideally.

Buyers are a lot more comfortable (and honest) when they can walk through without the owner there. Makes a bigger difference than people expect.

Market Update!

The spring market is fully underway, and the East Bay is showing a complex but competitive landscape. While new inventory remains tight across most regions, buyer demand is strong, pushing offers above the asking price in many single-family home markets—even as median values experience slight, localized adjustments.

Lamorinda
A remarkably fast-paced market. Single-family homes saw competitive bidding and quicker sales. The condo market was particularly unique, experiencing a massive 150% surge in new listings but still selling at a rapid pace—averaging just 12 days on the market.

Diablo Valley
Single-family homes remained stable, with a 25.6% jump in pending sales and strong offers averaging 102% of the list price. The condo market was the regional standout, where a massive 142.9% surge in closed sales drove a significant 25.2% jump in median values.
