We’ve bought the big house.

We’ve lived in the fixer-upper.

We’ve downsized, reimagined, and redefined “home” more than once.

But through it all, one truth stuck with us: Bigger doesn’t mean better.

And I promise — I’m not just the 'small home' Realtor.

Helping people downsize is part of what I do — but it’s not the whole story.

Each and every journey to Right Sized Living looks different.

The right home is the one that supports YOUR values, not just your desired square footage.

Every season taught us something new about what actually matters — and that’s what sparked our Right Size Revolution.

For us? The right size brings peace. It creates margin. Breeds connection. Fuels purpose.

✨ What does the right sized home look like for you?

Sometimes, more house just means more stress.

More to clean. More to maintain. More to pay for.

But does it actually give you more of what matters?

What if the REAL luxury is a home that feels peaceful, not pressured?

When your space reflects your family’s values — love, simplicity, connection — it becomes so much more than square footage.

It becomes home.

✨ Let go of the pressure to upsize, I'm so glad we did.

As we were walking the streets of downtown Lafayette, this weekend for Festival International, I was thinking of how much we truly enjoy the different cultural events that our area has to offer.

We are big “weekend“ people! We love to experience things as a family. We love quick getaways & short adventures in nearby states.

As much as I like the idea of living on a farm or heck, even having a pet, I know that my lifestyle preferences don’t match that. I would never be able to take care of a bunch of property because it would take up my whole weekend. And if we had a pet, we would forever be boarding.

Same thing for travel ball! As much joy as it brings some families, it would never work for ours. We couldn’t travel with everyone because of our oldest daughter‘s work schedule. So then we would be split up for most weekends and that doesn’t align with our “quality time” value.

We have made so many decisions that have not aligned with what is truly best for our family. We have seen and experienced the good and the bad and the ugly. And we have found that starting with intentional conversations is always the best way.

When choosing a home (or a child’s school or any life decisions) it’s not as simple as upsizing… Or downsizing… It’s about rightsizing.

Can you relate to any of this?
