April is Fair Housing Month ~ Become a Fair Housing Champion!

NAR now requires Fair Housing training every three years, along with Code of Ethics, with the current deadline set for December 31, 2027. NAR offers a free online option to meet this requirement through Fairhaven 2.0.

Fairhaven 2.0 is an interactive experience set in a fictional town where real estate professionals navigate real-life scenarios and work through fair housing challenges. Along the way, you’ll explore topics like avoiding steering, fair housing marketing best practices, interrupting implicit bias, and how to advocate for clients facing discrimination. You must achieve a score of 70% or greater to pass. The course duration is approximately 2 hrs.

Yesterday was a wonderful day celebrating the accomplishments of our members at the Troup County Board of REALTORS® Professional Achievement Awards Luncheon.

Thank you to everyone who took time out of your day to join us as we recognized the hard work and success of our members throughout 2025. It was a great opportunity to come together, share a meal, and celebrate the achievements of our REALTOR® community.

A special thank you to Georgia MLS for sponsoring this year’s awards luncheon. Your continued support helps make events like this possible, and we truly appreciate your partnership.

We would also like to thank Stephen Walker for hosting our luncheon. Stephen always brings laughter and a smile to the room, and we appreciate him taking time out of his busy schedule to spend the day with TCBOR.

What a meaningful way to kick off the year at the Troup County Board of REALTORS®.

Our January Membership Meeting was all about gratitude, service, and leadership. We celebrated the incredible Affiliate members who support REALTORS® and our Troup community every day, installed our 2026 Leadership Team, and proudly presented a $5,000 check to Zac Brown’s Camp Southern Ground from the proceeds of our 2025 Veterans Fundraiser.

We were especially honored to hear from Purple Heart Veteran Kyle Butcher, who has personally gone through the program and now serves as a leader in the PATHH Veterans Program. His story and dedication to fellow veterans was both powerful and inspiring.

It was a strong and heartfelt start to the year, and we’re excited for what’s ahead at Troup.
