Instrument Person and/or Survey Crew Chief position open. This person will be working outside, 5 days per week. Must have a minimum of 2 years as a land surveyor, 1 year as an instrument person, construction staking, boundary survey's from small lots to large acreage, ALTA surveys, cutting and flagging lines, must be able to carry 50 pounds for extended periods, worked with Data Collectors a minimum of 1 year, GPS a plus, CAD a plus and a valid driver's license is required. All references will be checked.

LaGrange, GA will be the center of operations, however, daily travel will be required and vehicle furnished. Overnight trips are rare and all expenses would be paid.

Wages are negotiable - Based on experience.

James & Connie took a very long week-end trip to Williamsport, PA for a wedding, followed by a visit to Gettysburg National Park. November will commemorate its 150 years. After that we took a cousin up on a tour of their church - Presbyterian, in the town of Gettysburg. Pres. A. Lincoln attended church there prior to walking thru town to the battle field where he gave the famous Gettysburg address. Forward in history Pres. D. Eisenhower was a member of the church and Pres. R. Nixon and his family attended. They have the benches that all 3 presidents sat on. Does make one reflect on time and the weight these men carried on their shoulders.

Now back to surveying and engineering.

September is here, poison ivy playing havoc with our surveyors and the leaves will soon be falling. Enjoy the cooler weather and watch out for those snakes and ticks, they are still out there.
