What do the new rules mean for you as a buyer and/or seller?
Let us explain this in a few simple words.
-
Nothing has really changed…you heard that correctly.
-
Commissions and Concessions have always been negotiable. Sellers have always negotiated with Listing Agents on what to offer the Listing Agent and Buyers Agents.
-
Contracts have always been used to create a thorough transaction and a complete file for buyer and seller safety and brokerage compliance.
-
Sellers: It is up to the Sellers and Listing agent to decide if concessions will be offered to the buyers brokerage.
Buyers: You will need to sign a BRBC (Buyer Representation ane Broker Compensation Agreement) with your agent of choice to start looking at homes.
-
Buyers: Find an agent who knows how to negotiate for you when writing your offer to work towards a common goal of obtaining the amount of concessions (comp) you have agreed to pay your agent so that you are not out of pocket.
-
It’s not complicated, it’s not new, it’s just a requirement now. Step into the ring with someone you can trust to have your back from start to finish. Someone who has a track record of negotiating and obtaining the best deal for their sellers and buyers.
