Spooky season, but make it elevated. 🖤🕯️

Halloween decor doesn’t have to mean plastic skeletons and neon orange. Here are 5 ways to bring the drama while keeping your home chic 👇

1️⃣ THE GOTHIC MANTEL Gather mismatched antique brass candlesticks (thrift stores are gold for these) and fill them with black and ivory tapers at different heights. Lean a gilded mirror behind them so the candlelight doubles, then drape it with sheer black cheesecloth for a haunted-manor veil.

2️⃣ MOODY MONOCHROME PUMPKINS Skip the orange. Paint real or faux pumpkins in matte black, charcoal and bone white, and keep the natural stems for an organic touch. Mix in a few velvet ones for texture, then stack them in odd numbers on your front steps.

3️⃣ THE APOTHECARY BAR CART Fill amber and smoked-glass bottles with dried lavender, rosemary and seed pods. Add handwritten labels like “Raven Feathers” or “Moonwater,” then finish with a glass cloche over a small skull or raven. It’s a conversation starter that doubles as a cocktail station.

4️⃣ SHADOW PLAY ENTRY Cut bats or moths from black cardstock and arrange them in a loose flight path climbing the wall by your front door, so they look like they’re escaping out a window. At night, aim a warm uplight at them for dramatic shadows. More art installation than Halloween aisle.

5️⃣ THE DARK HARVEST TABLESCAPE Start with a black linen runner and layer in dried florals dyed in deep tones. Add a pedestal bowl overflowing with plum grapes, smoked glassware and clusters of flickering votives. Write each guest’s name on a dried leaf for an effortless place card.
