Since 2005, Marcus has been dedicated to matching amazing people with amazing homes. Marcus has proudly represented over 325 clients and has established himself as the first choice for real estate in Orange County. A Laguna Beach family since 1968, the Skenderians have planted deep roots in this area. As the son of Morris Skenderian, one of Laguna Beach’s most renowned architects, Marcus developed

a passion for architecture and construction. His mother, Carolyn Skenderian, was a highly-respected realtor in Laguna Beach for over 35 years. She taught Marcus the skills needed in real estate as well as the art of negotiating; however it was the importance of putting the client above everything else that she truly exemplified and instilled in him. Following their lead, Marcus began an early career in construction before launching his business as a real estate broker. Along with his wife Tammy, also a Laguna Beach native, Marcus continues to live fully ingrained in the community while raising their three children. He has maintained an unwavering presence in the local community, serving as former Vice-President and Director of the Laguna Board of Realtors®, and former President of SchoolPower (The Laguna Beach Education Foundation). Marcus is also a recipient of the prestigious LBOR Realtor of the Year® Award, and is highly respected by his peers as a top real estate agent. With so many realtors to choose from in Orange County, Marcus stands apart from the crowd. His track record, in-depth local knowledge, and first-hand experience in architecture, construction, development, and real estate are what make him much more than a real estate agent. It is clear to see why Marcus is the first choice in real estate.

My family's roots in Laguna go back to when I was 11 months old and this town has never stopped showing up in unexpected ways.

My dad's an architect. He was building a church in the desert and connected with a local stained glass artist here in Laguna named Jos Maes. That's how our family found this place.

Fast forward to today — I'm showing a house and there's a major Jos Maes piece on the wall. The owners wouldn't even include it in the sale.

Some connections just run deep. 🌊

Some things in Laguna never change and that's exactly the point.

I've been selling here since 1974.

Back then, you knew your neighbors, you knew the rhythm of the town, and you knew that this place had something special that couldn't be replicated anywhere else on the coast.

That feeling? Still here.

Laguna isn't just a market to me. It's home. And after 50+ years, I still believe there's no better place to plant roots.

Big news for Laguna Beach foodies. 🍔

The iconic space that was home to Dizz's As Is since 1977 is getting new life and this Saturday June 6th, Small's Smash Club opens its doors. It's a burger concept from former pro snowboarder Jordan Small, coming up from San Clemente.

Dizz's was one of those places that meant something. If you were celebrating a big moment in Laguna, there's a good chance it happened at a table there. Marcel Pitz and his family ran it for nearly 50 years.

But Laguna needs more family-friendly, casual spots and from what I can see, Small's is going to fit right in.

They've already claimed their parking, and there may or may not be a talking bird involved. 🐦

This is the kind of evolution that keeps this community special. Same great corner, new energy.

Email me at [email protected] to talk Laguna — real estate or restaurant recs, I've got you covered.

Asked a local what he loves about Laguna Beach... and he delivered.

Cody breaks it all down at the Farmers Market -- from his beach workout setup at Divers Cove to winding down at Fisherman's Cove. And when it comes to restaurants, he keeps it real: Truly Pizza is legit, but Nirvana is the go-to for quality. Lindsay, the owner, sources everything right and shows up for the community - and that's exactly the kind of place worth supporting.

Most people interview a realtor for 10 minutes and call it good. Savvy buyers dig deeper.

Here are 5 questions worth asking and here are Marcus' answers :

1. Can you spot the difference between timeless and trending?
In Laguna, character outlasts every design cycle. Your agent should know the difference.

2. Do you know Laguna... or just the coffee shops?
City processing, light exposure, street-by-street value shifts, parking realities - that's the knowledge that actually protects you.

3. Would you buy this house yourself?
A great agent will tell you when NOT to buy. That honesty is rare and worth a lot.

4. How quickly do you notice bad remodel decisions?
Drainage, material quality, awkward layouts, permit red flags experienced eyes catch what staging is designed to hide.

5. What's the first thing you notice walking into a house?
Flow, light, craftsmanship, how a home actually feels to live in. Not just the countertops.

Luxury real estate is about more than beautiful homes. It's understanding value, lifestyle, design, negotiation, and the details most people overlook.

Something exciting is coming to one of the most iconic corners in downtown Laguna Beach.

The historic Heisler Building home to Jolly Roger, Tommy Bahama, the Sail Loft, Bodega Laguna, and more over the years- is about to get its next chapter.

Elizabeth Schreiber and Magellan Moore from the Mastro's family are bringing a Hollywood style speakeasy concept to this landmark space. It's the kind of addition downtown has been waiting for- a great corner, a great concept, and a vibe that fits right in with the energy this community brings.

Set to open June 29th.

And yes — that restoration architect plaque on the wall? That's Todd Skenderian, my cousin!

Drop a comment below if you're as excited about this as I am, or reach out directly at [email protected] always happy to talk all things Laguna Beach.
