Doctors and volunteers in Kharkiv, Ukraine—a city which has faced relentless bombardment, with reports of hundreds killed and an estimated 600 buildings destroyed—have received critical medical supplies thanks to REALTOR® Katya Malakhova. She uses a network of ambassadors, nonprofits, and an Amazon wishlist to distribute supplies to Ukraine.

“Each backpack is designed for 5 to 10 people and includes a variety of first aid supplies: bandages, anti-hemorrhagic medicine, and other means for survival in extreme conditions.” Malakhova has raised $3.5 million since February through her nonprofit, Sunflower of Peace, which was founded in 2015 and has been mentioned this month by TIME Magazine, USA Today, NPR, and other major media outlets.
