Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness month is in June & World Alzheimer's Day is September 21st... but for me, it is daily. I miss you terribly daddy💜

Someone once said if you take care of someone with dementia you lose them more and more everyday. When they get the diagnosis, when they go through different stages, when they need treatment and when they pass away. This is called "ambiguous loss".
I don't wish dementia on anyone. As the brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are. They could end up lying in bed, not moving and not eating or drinking.
There will be people who will scroll past this post because Dementia has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has battled or is still battling dementia.
To raise awareness of this cruel disease, I would like my friends to put this on their page today.

From a friend….

Doctors say I will never get better or go into full remission...I am not giving up, but I want to make others aware. A nap won't help. I am not lazy. I am on meds. I struggle with pain, mobility issues and fatigue every day. The most frustrating part is people look at me and say "It can't be that bad; you look fine." Despite the fact that my body is experiencing excruciating pain all over. I apologize if I miss events that I would love to attend. One day you'll understand my daily struggles. This disease affects me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I need your support, not your judgment. I'm watching the ones who will take the time to read this post to the end.
