Along the Hana Highway on Maui's North Shore, just outside the quaint town of Paia, you'll find Kaulahao Beach. Kaulahao Beach, or Kū'au Bay Beach as it is also known, is a fantastic spot to see Hawaiin Green Sea Turtles. 🐢

The day we went, there were many sea turtles nestled along the sand on the right side of the beach (first pic), along with a handful that were looking for a bit more room to spread out down the left side of the beach (second pic).

For many, seeing a green sea turtle in person is very exciting and something to check off your Hawaiian bucket list! 🐢 However, there are some tips you should keep in mind if you come across a sea turtle on land or in the water:

🚫 never touch a sea turtle; all sea turtles are protected by federal and state law. It is a misdemeanor offense punishable by a fine or jail time if you are observed touching or harassing them.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 🔙10 🐢 leave at least 10 feet between you and a sea turtle

🚫 never encircle a sea turtle or block its path back to the ocean

If you're looking for a fun hike in West Maui, check out the Nakalele Blowhole, just north of Kapalua.

The Nakalele Blowhole is a natural phenomenon formed by powerful ocean waves crashing into an underwater lava tube. As the waves enter the narrow tube, they create immense pressure, forcing water to shoot upwards through the opening, resembling a geyser.

Remember, nature operates on its own schedule. During our hike, we waited for approximately thirty minutes before the blowhole erupted. Your chances of witnessing this incredible display are higher on windy days with crashing waves.

Another day another beer, and OMG (see what I did there? 😜) let me tell you, go pick this one up before it’s gone because it’s amazing! Even if you’re not a fan of IPA’s, give this one a try, it’s super light and fruity, with just a bit of hops at the end! 🤙🏻 🌺

If you’re staying at the condo and don’t want to miss the game (or don’t want to miss a cold beer on tap!) all you have to do is walk across the street! Dollies is a family friendly casual pizza restaurant with a full bar located in the Kahana Manor shops directly across the street from Valley Isle! They have tons of tv’s offering literally any game you could want to watch! They open at 7:00 am on Sunday’s during football season! So pull up a chair, order your favorite beverage, and enjoy your game!

How about that rainbow this morning right outside of the condo! We’ve seen turtles, whales, and amazing sunsets here but this rainbow is a first.

Breakfast with a view! is on Napili Bay and is one of the most picturesque parts of West Maui in our opinion. You won’t be disappointed if you eat here!
