A different view of Maui 🌿🌊

Waiheʻe Ridge Trail is one of those hikes that reminds you just how dramatic Maui’s landscape can be. As the forest opens up, you’re met with sweeping views of lush jungle, deep valleys, and the ocean — sometimes even hiking above the clouds. ☁️

The full hike is about 4.5 miles round trip, but you don’t have to make it to the end to experience some seriously incredible views.

The trail starts with a steep paved section before winding through the forest and opening onto the ridge. Give yourself time to slow down, take it all in, and enjoy the changing scenery along the way.

🥾 Wear comfortable hiking shoes
💧 Bring plenty of water
☀️ Be prepared for sun
🌧️ And keep in mind that rain showers can move through the valley
