Yesterday I had the privilege of attending "What Really Moves Rates?" presented by Revolution Mortgage at the Southwest Louisiana Realtor Association office, alongside my fellow members of the Women's Council of Realtors.

Yesterday I jumped on Zoom for the WCR Achieving Excellence Series — "The Power of Teams" — and it hit different.

Classroom mode: ON.

Today I spent the day at the SWLAR Board Office taking three continuing education classes — Fair Housing, 1031 Exchanges, and Commercial Insurance.

Some people think once you get your license, the learning stops. Not over here. The real estate industry is constantly evolving, and I believe my clients deserve an agent and broker who stays sharp.

Fair Housing keeps us grounded in doing right by every single person who walks through our door. 1031 Exchanges help our investors build generational wealth. And understanding commercial insurance? That protects everything we've worked so hard to build.

I'll never stop investing in my education because I'll never stop investing in the people I serve.

We had a great conversation with building consultant Jake Mallas about short-term rental opportunities, occupancy requirements, and what’s coming next in the subdivision… including 4 bed / 3 bath homes 👀 (you already know that caught our attention)

The closing statement is where all the hard work comes together — it details every financial piece of a sale, from the purchase price to closing costs, prorations, and adjustments. It’s the roadmap that keeps buyers, sellers, and agents on the same page from contract to closing.
