Hello! Starting March 1, 2026, the federal government has a new mandate for settlement agents. FinCEN is requiring a report for transactions if an LLC, Trust, Corporation, etc is purchasing a residential 1-4 family home that is funding via any means other than a traditional lender. This is in an attempt to prevent money laundering. By law, we have to collect personal information from you and submit it to the government. I have attached a video explaining who and what qualifies, and also exceptions to the mandate. If you have any questions, we will do our best to answer them. Hello! Friendly reminder: It is property tax assessment notice time. Please check your notice to make sure you are signed up for homestead, also, might as well double check your taxable value. If the amount increased by more than the multiplier make sure the increase is warranted. If you have questions you can contact your township/city assessor.
