I am third generation "born and raised in Lake City",
I enjoy serving our "small town" community within my school, church, and family Christmas tree business. I began my real estate business in September 2013 serving the Lake City, Manton, McBain, Cadillac, and the surrounding areas. We then opened City2Shore Real Estate-Northern MI in January 2018 with our home office in Lake City, MI and two more offices in Manton and Cadillac to better serve more communities. I love to help families "find or sell" their home, lakefront cottage, or cabin in the woods. My goal is to serve my clients with honesty, integrity and professionalism and build relationships with them for a lifetime. I strive to set high standards of communication and customer service so as to exceed their expectations.

POV: You decided you’d wait until spring to sell… but is waiting actually the best move for you? πŸ‘€πŸ‘

Spring may get a lot of attention in real estate, but that doesn’t mean it’s automatically the right time for every seller. Buyers are still searching in the fall, and listing before the spring rush could mean less competition from other homes hitting the market.

When I talk with sellers, I always look beyond the calendar. Your timeline, your goals, your property, and what’s happening right here in the Northern Michigan market all play a role in deciding when it makes sense to list.

So if selling has been on your mind, don’t automatically put those plans on hold until spring. Let’s talk about what the market looks like now and whether making a move sooner could make sense for you. πŸ‚

Forget haunted houses… there are much scarier things in real estate. πŸ‘»πŸ‘

Overpriced listings, mystery DIY projects, surprise inspection findings, and hearing β€œbut the Zestimate says…” can send a chill down any Realtor’s spine. πŸ˜‚

The good news? Most real estate horror stories can be avoided with the right preparation, clear communication, and a knowledgeable agent helping you navigate the unexpected.

Buying or selling a home doesn’t have to feel scaryβ€”even when a few surprises pop up along the way!

Fellow Realtors and homeowners: what would you add to the list? πŸŽƒ

Need to move, but worried you missed the window to sell your house until next year or next spring? Don’t count yourself out of the market so fast.

About a third of all home sales happen in the last four months of the year – and that share has been growing every year since 2023.

Based on the forecasts, that means roughly 11,800 houses are expected to sell every single day between now and the end of December.

Buyers are still out there, ready to move before the new year. Let’s connect and get your house in front of them.

Thinking about buying a home this fall? πŸ‚πŸ‘ You don’t have to wait until you’re ready to start touring homes to begin preparing.

A little work now can make the buying process much easier when the right home comes along. Take a look at your finances, start a conversation with a lender, think beyond just the purchase price, decide what truly matters in your next home, and connect with a Realtor early.

The goal isn’t to have everything figured out todayβ€”it’s to put yourself in a stronger position so when you find a home you love, you’re ready to move forward with confidence.

If buying a home in Northern Michigan is on your radar this fall (or even a little further down the road), I’d be happy to help you start putting together a game plan!

You probably think as a general rule of thumb, brand new homes costs more than existing homes. But right now, that's backwards. This shows just how much.

A newly built home costs about $40k less than an existing one right now. That's because builders are cutting prices and piling on incentives to keep their inventory moving.

And that opens up a window for you to get brand new everything for less than you may expect.

DM me if you want a list of nearby new home communities offering deals like this right now to see if a new build may be in your budget after all.

Listing photos are designed to catch your eyeβ€”but they don’t always tell the whole story. πŸ‘πŸ‘€

When you’re touring a home, it’s easy to get distracted by the beautiful kitchen, trendy finishes, or perfectly staged living room. But some of the most important details aren’t the ones that photograph well.

Knowing what to look for beyond the listing photos can help you spot potential concerns, think about long-term costs, and decide whether a home truly fits your lifestyle.

Everyone's been watching mortgage rates. But there's another trend buyers shouldn't overlook...

Every fall, the housing market tends to shift.

More homes hit the market. Asking prices often soften. And sellers are usually more willing to negotiate.

Those seasonal changes happen almost every year – and they can make buying a little easier.

Let's talk about whether those same trends are showing up in our local market – and what it means for you.
