A simple coffee conversation today made me reflect on one of the biggest decisions of my life.
I had coffee today with someone I’ve known for years who is thinking about leaving the corporate world and getting into real estate. It was such a great conversation, and I truly think she would make a wonderful agent.
But when she asked how many hours I work each week, I could tell she was surprised by my answer.
I told her the truth — I can average 50–60 hours a week as a full-time Realtor.
It also made me reflect on my own decision 15 years ago to leave a 20+ year career in banking and start a new profession in real estate at age 46. I remember how nervous I felt stepping into a career that was 100% commission, but I also knew a fresh start was exactly what I needed and I was excited about the adventure ahead.
Not once have I regretted that decision.
This profession allows me to help people through some of life’s biggest transitions — the joyful ones, the difficult ones, and everything in between.
Real estate is filled with emotion and real-life moments, and I feel fortunate that clients trust me to walk alongside them through those chapters.
And after all these years… I still love what I do.
15 years later… still grateful I took the leap.

One of the biggest myths I hear?
“That downsizing means I’m giving something up.”
What if it actually means stepping into something better?
A home that’s easier to maintain.
A layout that works for you today.
A lifestyle with more time, more freedom, and less stress.
I’ve walked alongside so many families through this transition, and when it’s done thoughtfully, it can be incredibly empowering.
Smaller doesn’t mean less.
It can mean just right. 🤍
