🏠 Selling a home with young children comes with its own unique mix of emotions and logistics.

Parents are often balancing showings, staging, and keeping life “normal,” while children are trying to make sense of toys being packed away and familiar spaces changing.

In my latest blog, I talk about what this process looks like from a child’s perspective, and share simple, thoughtful ways to help kids feel secure, included, and supported during the transition.

This includes everything from preparing them early, to decluttering in a way that involves them, to helping them focus on what comes next instead of what they’re leaving behind. 🩵

I recently worked with a seller on the North Shore whose home ultimately:
✔ Received multiple offers
✔ Went under contract in less than 3 days
✔ Sold for 24% over asking

But here’s what most people don’t see…

We didn’t just “list” the home. We used a strategic combination of private and public listing phases to build interest, control timing, and create real competition among buyers.

At one point, we even received a strong early offer with pressure to accept immediately—but chose to stay the course. That decision made all the difference.

Great news for seniors struggling to pay their property taxes in Lake and Cook Counties in Illinois. Effective for the 2026 property taxes payable in 2027, the income eligibility threshold applicable to the Senior Freeze exemption has been increased. Previously to qualify, the senior had to have a total household income of $65,000 or less. Now that threshold has been increased to $75,000 or less.
