Giving a shout out to one of our Firefighter Nick Sottile for climbing the stairs at Chimney Rock State Park! Climbing the stairs at the park 4 times is a little under the 2071 steps that the firefighters had to climb at the World Trade Center 25 years ago today. Nick we thank you for your dedication and desire to honor those lost on 9/11.

There’s something a little magical about Lake Lure. ✨

Maybe it’s the mountains wrapping around the water. Maybe it’s the tiny places tucked away where you least expect them. Maybe it’s walking through sparkling willow branches and feeling, for just a second, like you wandered into some enchanted little world.

Every time I’m here, I find another corner I didn’t know existed.

A garden. A view. A winding road. A little bar tucked into the trees. The lake appearing between the mountains when you turn a corner.

Lake Lure has been through so much, and somehow the magic of this place is still everywhere.

You just have to slow down enough to notice it. ✨🌿
