Some moments deserve to be remembered.
On Memorial Day, while the rain fell steadily outside, Darrell and I enjoyed what was likely our last fire of the season. There was nothing extraordinary about it, just the soft crackle of flames, the sound of rain on the roof, and the comfort of being home, safe and warm together.
Life has a way of making you rush from one thing to the next. But every now and then, you're given a quiet moment that gently reminds you to slow down and count your blessings.
A warm fire. A safe home. The people we love. Time to simply be. Those ordinary moments are often the ones that matter most.
I'm posting now so I won't forget how I felt sitting there, listening to the rain and watching the fire glow. Some blessings are loud and life-changing. Others arrive softly as a peaceful evening that overflows with quiet gratitude.
I'm thankful for both.
