Lately, I’ve noticed a lot of buyers just picking a lender at random without doing any research. I get it—you’re focused on finding the perfect house. But choosing the wrong lender can cost you the home, delay your closing, and put your hard-earned escrow money at serious risk.

Right now, I am navigating six closings and two closings with different lenders that are being difficult that show exactly why WHO YOU CHOOSE MATTERS:

🛑 Exhibit A: I have a lender right now who says he needs 7 days just to get the Closing Disclosure (CD) out, even though we are scheduled to close next Wednesday. That math doesn't math. It's an automatic delay.

🛑 Exhibit B: I called a local lender for a status update, and his actual response was, "I have no idea, I'm assuming everything is going good." ...Are you kidding me? "Assuming" doesn't protect your contract!

Most lenders just expect agents and buyers to sign an extension when they drop the ball. But here’s what these lenders don't realize: I have backup strategies in place.
