Congratulations, Warren!! 🥂 A little anecdote about this one…

We looked at maybe seven or eight homes before writing an offer on this one. All beaters. Some I had a gut feeling about before going, but we all decided to go look anyway. Suspicions were usually confirmed, but it was a great learning experience for dubs, who was a first time homebuyer who’d readily admit from the outset he didn’t know anything about anything haha…

I’d seen this house early and probably sent him it three or four times before I basically making him go. The pics online I could tell—seen it before—completely belied what I felt was probably something pretty special. Quick sidebar, my client also wanted to do nothing and I mean nothing once moved-in—wanted turnkey ready to go spot. So…

We go. Clients weren’t sure about neighborhood, but it’s like 60s/70s atomic ranches/split-levels with big lots all well cared and views of Mt. Hood on the way to the house—straight out of movie/postcard. The house is dialed, completely new kitchen, flooring, roof, hvac, plumbing, gas fireplace. Huge vaulted ceiling, exits to yard out the side and through kitchen for optimal hangout layout, perfect sized yard, easy to maintain. Nothing and I mean nothing you have to do. Like finding Excalibur.

Rest of the story is, we wrote—it had been on market a few weeks, so we got a small concession—had an inspection that revealed basically nill, which for a 60s home is a minor miracle in and of itself and he closed.

I get a little extra juice when something like this happens and it’s even more special when it’s a friend you’ve known and hooped with for a long time. Hope you love your new home Warren G!!

***triple asterisk for this win as the same team last year did not have for the run this year as injuries took him down. Hopefully, next year all us old dudes will be at least at 84% health and everyone has a full squad.
