Quiet day walking blast-from-the-past Canby, Oregon. First Stop: Macchiato at downtown B’s Bakeshop. JB a few miles away perfecting his golf game for tournaments later this week. LOVE this small town. 🩷🩷🩷

Fabulous day with PDX Women Who walk on Portland's
Alameda Ridge a couple of weeks ago (third Thursday of every month). Just getting around to looking at all the fun photos, most of them full of Halloween Hoopla. We had a clear, bright, not too cold, wonderful day, and wow, this neighborhood really pulls out all the stops with the Halloween decorations. So much fun!!!

WOW! PDX Women Who Walk on Meetup. We launched 4 years ago with 5 members. Today we have 989! Such a great group of adventurous, great women. I spend most days creating/
testing new walk routes for the group. So much fun and it keeps me walking.

Women Who Walk is a monthly 4-8 mile walkabout in and around Portland, Oregon. Each walk is carefully planned (complete with blog post, map, and photo gallery) to showcase a neighborhood, park, garden, or other uniquely wonderful aspects of this great city of ours. Led by Susan Bradley, intrepi

What a great quote to kickstart this gorgeous day. I have several paths that have been my best friends through all the ups and downs of this earthly life. Creating, Reading, Walking. And ironically, in these modern times I can do all of them at the same time (with the help of good shoes, a camera and audio books). The Universe always has my back. And yours too. Blessings on this beautiful day.

TOMORROW'S THE DAY. 25 fabulous women are heading up to Portland's Willamette Heights neighborhood to take in the amazing views and stunning homes and gardens. It's a bit of a climb but we'll take it slow and easy with cameras clicking nonstop. LOVE this walk to the moon and back. (Turn by turn route map in Comments.)

PDX WOMEN WHO WALK: Trekked this months Bryant, Lake Oswego route AGAIN today with JB in tow. It's a tricky route and The Man had some great suggestions. Just put the finishing touches with his insightful changes on the new route map. Excited to share this amazing neighborhood with "the girls" later this month.

About 5 miles with a long stretch along Oswego Canal with its gorgeous homes and two canal crossings with spectacular views of the Oswego Lake make this a special walk. Starts and ends at Bryant Community Pool on Indian Creek Drive.

WOW, WHAT A WALK! Lake Oswego: Millennium Park, First Addition, Tryon Creek Loop. We got a perfect day (after two months waiting for the weather angels to bless us, as they almost always do). James Bradley graciously took on the navigator role so I could have fun with everyone, and wow, what a difference it makes.

This quiet neighborhood is magical and it became even more so when the gentleman who owns that stunning historical church came out to greet us, allowed our photo in front of his residence and THEN invited us all in for a tour and history talk about this unique church turned home. Such amazing kindness and we so appreciate it. Another high point of the day was a reading of William Stafford's poem on the stone column in a tiny park dedicated to him.

P.S. That gal in the bright yellow coat below is Joan Whitcher, the only member of the original five founding members still active in PDX Women Who Walk. Joan has been there with us from Walk One on June 13, 2018. We LOVE you Joan!
