We sold this to our clients about 4 years back...they wanted to move to high-rise living in NW Portland...so we sold it. This property was so wonderfully decorated! It went under contract quickly...unfortunately the Buyer needed a co-signer...her Realtor did not let us know! So, I fought for the Earnest Money for my Seller, Ryan....and we got it! And, got a second offer a couple days after going back on the market. We just closed this deal 8-1-25. It was a great transaction netting my Seller a tidy profit + the EM from offer #1. Ryan and his Fiancé, were kind enough to take me to The Ritz for dinner. What a spectacular night of great food, laughs, conversation, and phenomenal views. I had a blast being their Realtor! The devastation left by Hurricane Helene is enormous! It looks like scenes from a warzone. The winter is fast approaching this region with snow and bitter cold....there are many people without a warm home. It is gut wrenching to see the videos. My nightly prayers have increased since Helene hit.

I am impressed and ecstatic to see ALL the American people working together to help the survivors of Hurricane Helene. A few of my favorite YouTube Makers/Influencers are based in Asheville, NC. I was going to be in Asheville for a National Association of Gay and Le***an Real Estate Professionals (NAGLREP) convention the week OF the hurricane, September 24-26, 2024! I would have arrived a few days early and stayed a week later to see the area putting me smack in the center of Helene! I had a nagging feeling not to go....now I know why. Sadly, I won't see the Asheville and surrounding towns in NC that I had researched on my travel list.

The massive cleanup effort by civilians working with the government is tear provoking and warms one's soul. It is what America is all about. I think that in the future, there is a phenomenal opportunity to "deputize" a few leaders in each state to create a mobile coalition of people to help in disaster relief and recovery. These coalitions can coordinate with FEMA, the Army/Reserves/etc to make a super organized impact in the wake of disaster. Our country has enough annual disasters that require us to spend money and assets on! The US does not need to ship monies to other countries...help America FIRST!

The private ministries that are there to help survivors are also very impressive. Samaritan's Purse is probably my most trusted ministry. This Billy Graham organization was there immediately after Helene raged her fury.

Go U S A ! ! Go U S A !! God Bless all the people taking their own money and time away from their families and careers to help.
