Just received a call from a listing agent in the Bronx asking me if she have an inspection report on a house that I did in January for a new buyer because the old buyer fell through. Then, she asked me if I can alter the report and take out some of the issues that I noted because the new buyers don’t want to go through with a home inspection.

My answer:
YEAH UMMM NO!!!

Tell the buyers if they want a report, I’ll reinspect the house in front of them, pay me accordingly and they’ll receive a fresh report.

For all of the “flippers” and “general contractors” out there, for god sakes man, please dig deep and find the strength...

For all of the “flippers” and “general contractors” out there, for god sakes man, please dig deep and find the strength to do a better job with your “profession”!! This house I inspected in the Bronx probably had better before you touched it. This basement entrance is actually closed all the way, not to mention it has a new hacked up interior, hollow Masonite door. The custom toilet installation tops anything I’ve ever seen. Let’s cut the wall out, shove it in as far as it goes and use 20 cans of spray foam around it to finish it off. Holy S**t!!!

Had a great opportunity to travel to upstate NY yesterday in Monticello and inspected a colonial farm house built in 1810. It’s completely amazing how these structures were built then compared to the newer homes now.
