Klay Thompson quietly bought a $2.2 million ocean-view place in Dana Point in 2015; it was his SoCal escape…
Back in May 2015, Klay Thompson picked up a 2,433-square-foot, Spanish-style home in Dana Point for $2.2 million, records showed at the time.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the property came with Pacific views, arched openings, and a pool that matched his love for the water.
It was a smart lifestyle buy; Dana Point is only a short hop from where he grew up in Ladera Ranch, so it kept him close to family while he was starring for the Warriors.
Later reporting in 2023 and 2024 on his real-estate portfolio still cited that 2015 purchase as part of his California holdings, showing the buy held up over time.
Thompson has said in interviews that getting away by the water helps him reset during long NBA seasons, which is why a quiet Orange County base made sense for him.
