Many times Certificates of Appropriateness are needed in order to add an addition, change a roof or windows or, when necessary, relocation or demolition. Demystifying the development review process for the client, working through historic preservation staff and boards to achieve mutually successful results is what I dofor you.I work well with other disciplines like architects and civil engineers in order to achieve your development or redevelopment goals. I perform all the required paperwork for application submittal and review, making presentations before historic preservation boards or governing bodies when necessary. Solutions are tailored to your property and to your individual needs.If you require a variance from land development regulation requirements, we can prepare for and represent your interests at a quasi-judicial hearing, including the granting of a conditional use permit. Sometimes, a request for a text amendment to an existing Comprehensive Plan/Land Development Regulation is in order to resolve redevelopment impediments. We assisted this client in maintaining outdoor entertainment space established during the pandemic. The local governement cited the venue, threatening to close them down and return the area to a parking lot. Through negotiation and creativity, we were able to preserve this community asset.
