I found a Plant City spot with some serious history!

El Mirasol Bakery-Deli-Meat-Grocery has been family-owned and serving the community since 1987. What started as a bakery selling Mexican pastries and candies eventually grew into a full grocery store with a meat market, bakery, deli, ice cream parlor, and hot-food cafeteria.

And here’s the part I loved learning: El Mirasol says its story began with making fresh tortillas in small batches, and the family later opened a dedicated tortilla operation. Today they describe themselves as the largest Hispanic store in the Plant City area and the largest tortilla manufacturer in Florida.

You can grab authentic Mexican and Latin American products, fresh meats, baked goods, tortillas, aguas frescas, handmade ice cream, and build your own plate from their cafeteria-style hot-food selection.
