This was a very special transaction for me, the day before Mother's Day I received a phone call from my buyers who wanted to see this beautiful farmhouse with 5 acres that had just popped up on the market. Although I lived in Lakeland, I was only about 45 mins away from Brooksville that day. I made arrangements and we all made it to the 5 acre property within one hour and they fell in love. You see, it has been a dream for this family to one day own a farmhouse. If you remember in my previous post, my dear friends Vickie and Ronnie sold their home to move in with family as they get older will need more help. Vickie's son Glenn and his sweet wife Melanie helped Vickie and Ronnie move in not knowing how God would find them to a bigger place but they had faith. I must say I truly saw how God's hand was in everything as He helped all of us work through appraisals that came in way under listing price, new drain fields needed, new electrical wiring and a panel box needed for the stables, lending and just about any obstacle you can think of that can go wrong between an offer and closing day. I remember submitting the offer and praying, Oh God favor this family and in all of the offers the sellers receive, may theirs rise to the top. And I remember the conference call I made to the family to let them know their offer had been accepted. I said "ok everyone here?". One by one they all said yes. "Ok good, well I have good news and I have bad news which do you want first". Glenn said "Well, you might as well pull off the band aid first" So I with all of the somberness I could muster, I said, "ok, well the bad news is, you're going to have to put a lot of work into getting your house ready to sell and the good news is....." Well I never got to finish that sentence because the sounds and screams of laughter, tears, and and pure joy took over and I could not hear myself speak much less deliver the good news lol. This farmhouse was picked special for this family. They have overcome so much and their love for each other is so evident, I cant think of a more deserving family. It has truly been an honor working with them. A special thanks to the listing agent Michael Peeples, what a stand up guy, wish all realtors collaborated in the way we did for these families. As Keller Williams Realty Smart says, this was a WIN WIN for everyone. So without further delay, it's an honor to introduce their newly named home.... SUN-KISSED FARMS! Congratulations Glenn, Melanie, Vickie, Ronnie and all the kids. Welcome HOME!
