Florida Realtors have released the official January numbers for the Lakeland housing market. Here are a few takeaways:
Home prices are staying flat. Although there have been some small movements, the median sales price in Lakeland has stayed relatively flat since 2023.
Sellers are feeling the pinch. With inventory at the highest levels since 2019, home sellers are feeling the competition and are having to price homes more accurately within market value. Time to contract is around 40 days meaning homes are sitting longer as buyer demand hasn’t ramped up quite yet in 2024.
