The beauty of this place always reminds me how blessed we are to live in a community where nature, families, and faith-filled moments come together. This Valentine’s Day, I’m thinking about doors. 🚪❤️

Doors to cars opened with intention.
Doors to restaurants filled with laughter.
Doors to flower shops carrying bouquets of love.

And the doors I love opening most…
The doors to homes. 🏡

Because behind every front door is a story.
A first home.
A growing family.
An estate filled with memories.
A difficult transition.
A new beginning after divorce.

Love doesn’t always look the same.
Sometimes it’s joyful.
Sometimes it’s tender.
Sometimes it’s hard decisions made with courage.

But every chapter deserves to be handled with love.

Four years ago, God opened a door for our own family.

When my husband accepted a Business Manager position with UPS here in Lakeland — now serving as Tampa Bay Division Manager — we began navigating where we would call home. We did our recon across many Tampa Bay areas. We explored neighborhoods, schools, shops, restaurants, local businesses…
We started in St Pete, and throughout Through prayer and patience, doors opened exactly where they were meant to. God answered and led us here — to Lakeland. Details of the swan sculptures throughout the city, the many parks and lakes, the conversations that took place wherever my feet would step with people from so many walks of life… and being close enough for beach days, collecting shells, time on the water with boats or kayaks, and quick trips to nearby theme parks, so much to enjoy, and so close to where we knew we wanted to call Home.

Our youngest son, Noah, is now a junior at Central Florida Aerospace Academy. Our oldest son, Mikah, travels back and forth between Ohio and Florida as we continue serving families through Fikes Family Realtors — and we love having our granddaughter, Sylvie, here in Lakeland as much as possible.

For two decades, one of my greatest honors has been serving as a family REALTOR® — advising generations, walking parents through next steps, helping children navigate estates, guiding couples through fresh starts, and celebrating milestones with those I’ve had the privilege to serve more than once.

And now, I am honored to officially bridge that same love, experience, and proven guidance into Lakeland and the greater Tampa Bay area.
