A+J came to us with the goal of leaving the rental world behind and purchasing a casita (home) to call their own. From our first meeting, we instantly connected—not just because of their dream, but because we both had two kiddos. Their eldest and our eldest both had a passion for soccer, and soon all of our kiddos became little besties.

As we wrap up 2023, we wanted to take a moment to share our journey – a mix of highs, growth, and genuine connections.

First off, huge thanks to our incredible network – family, friends, mentors, collaborators, partners, and our awesome clients. You made 2023 a year to remember.

Reflecting on the past year, it felt like we were getting a bit back to normal, but honestly, it was more about figuring things out, navigating new paths, and growing.

Some highlights that made 2023 special:

▪️Partnering up as a husband-and-wife real estate duo in Tacoma, our focus extends to serving the Greater Pierce County and beyond. Recognizing a gap for Spanish-speaking realtors, VIDA HOMES COLLECTIVE was born. The name “Collective” embodies who we are, and we’re thrilled to witness its growth into 2024. This journey is truly a collective effort, made possible by our amazing community.

▪️Our first year in real estate, as a team- brought its challenges, but closing 2 transactions on the buyer’s side and 4 on the seller’s side – that’s a win in our book.

▪️Volunteering with introduced us to some amazing people and students, and we’re excited to continue supporting this phenomenal nonprofit into 2024

▪️Family time is our anchor. Two family vacations and a Mom + Dad retreat – from Disneyland with our girls to a Hawaii escape, these moments are what we’re truly grateful for.

Oh, and open ocean diving with Tiger and Galapago sharks. Huge check mark off our bucketlist✔️ A wild, once-in-a-lifetime experience that will forever leave a mark on our hearts.

Looking ahead to 2024:

Our focus is on growing personally and professionally.

We’re being intentional with our time – if it doesn’t light a spark, it’s not on our radar. Ditching things that don’t align with our passion and purpose✨

Continuous learning- this is key to serving our communities better and staying on top of our game for you, our clients.

Excitement fills us as we think about personal growth, supporting our community, spending more time outdoors, family time and exploring new things in the coming year.

• Reduced presence of buyers in the market
• Increased negotiating leverage for buyers
• Sellers motivated to close transactions quickly

With this in consideration, here are some questions to ask yourself or your agent during your December house hunt:

❄️Are the driveways and pathways in good condition? Does the property’s exterior showcase a friendly and well-lit atmosphere?

❄️Has the home been properly insulated, and is the HVAC system in good working condition? What is the age of the HVAC system?

❄️How much natural light does the home receive? Considering the shorter winter days, sufficient natural light can greatly contribute to your emotional well-being and overall mood (especially in Washington state)

❄️Is there any visible evidence of damage from storms on the property, such as water stains, frozen pipes, or issues with the roof?

❄️Do you notice neighbors decorating their homes for the holidays? This can serve as a positive indicator of a community that is welcoming and festive
